About Kim Hurley AndrewsI'm a 5th-generation Kansan who studied creative writing at Washburn University of Topeka. I went on to graduate with a journalism degree from The University of Kansas. Then I worked in magazines as an editor and freelance writer, and as a public relations professional for one of the largest ad agencies in the state.
In 1992, I met a woman named Lila McCabe. Lila was looking for someone to lengthen her short story into a book. It was about her friendship with an odd bachelor named Old Nate, and his connection to my family. |
